Dry Beef Chilli


Ingredients:

Beef (pasanday) : half kg (cut in length like finger chips)
Green chillies : 6-8 pieces
Garlic Paste : 2 tbsp
Garlic : 2 tbsp (slice chopped)
Tomatoes : 3 pcs (normal size)
Salt : to taste
Ajenomoto : 1.5 tsp
Soya Sauce: 2 tbsp
Oil : half cup

Method:

Heat oil and add garlic paste, fry for 10-20 seconds then add Chopped Beef and fry till the half of the water from beef dries then add tomatoes, green chillies and sliced garlic with all remaining ingredients (optional: then add stock). Cook well on a medium flame till the water dries up. Decorate the dish with chopped green chilli and chopped garlic and serve with boiled rice.

Ramadan Special : Noodles Pakora


Ingredients

Egg Noodles, 100 gms.
Green chilies, 3 (Chopped)
Green Onion Leaves, 1/3 Cup (Chopped)
Capsicum, 1 (Cut into small pieces)
Hard Boiled Eggs, 2 (cut into small pieces)
Cottage cheese, 100g (cut into smaller cubes)
Egg 1 (Beaten for covering)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Water, 1 ½ cup
Oil, 2 cups (for deep frying)

Recipe

Boil Egg noodles and Eggs and Keep aside.
When cools down, mix egg noodles with green chilies, Green onion leaves, capsicum, hard boiled eggs and cheese (All cut into small pieces).
Add Salt and Pepper and Mix well.
Heat oil in a wok; shape the mixture into small pakoras and deep fry until golden brown.

Submitted by Umme Hafsah : Chocolate Doughnut





Ingredients:

•2 eggs
•1 cup sugar
•2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
•2 tablespoons shortening
•1 cup mashed potatoes
•2/3 cup milk
•3 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
•6 teaspoons baking powder
•1 teaspoon salt
•fat for deep frying

Directions:

Beat eggs until light and beat in sugar. Melt chocolate and shortening together; add to sugar mixture. Add potatoes and milk. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to batter, adding just enough to make a dough that can be handled. Chill dough then roll out on floured board; cut with doughnut cutter. Fry (a couple at a time) in deep fat at about 370° until browned on both sides, turning once. Transfer to paper towels or brown paper bags to drain.
Makes about 30 to 36 doughnuts or donuts.

Submitted by Umme Hafsah : Chicken Cheese Macaroni



Serving : 4 persons

Ingredients:

1 Pack (400 gms) Elbow Macaroni
½ Kg Boneless Chicken (Cut in cubes)
1 Tea Spoon Black Pepper
3 Tea Spoon Salt
8 Table Spoon Oil
4 Table Spoon Lemon Juice
1 Medium Size Onion (Chopped)
2 Green chilies (Chopped)
100 gms Mayonnaise (adjustable to your preference)
100 gms Cream Cheese (adjustable to your preference)

Marinade:

Put chicken in a bowl add lemon juice, black pepper and 1 tea spoon salt. Mix well and leave it for 2 hours on room temperature.

Method:

Heat pan and add 3 table spoon of oil then add marinated chicken cubes and cook on medium heat until chicken get tender and dry. Now cut the cooked cubes into small pieces.

Boil water into a wide pan. When reach to boiling add 2 tea spoon of salt and 1 table spoon of Oil in the pan and stir well, then add whole pack of Macaroni and boil until inner wall of the Macaroni get a white color. Put off the boiled macaroni and drain the starch water.

Heat a deep pan on a medium heat, add the rest of the oil into pan and add boiled macaroni, chopped onions and green chilies. Stir and fry them slowly for a while. Then add the cooked chicken pieces, mayonnaise and cream cheese and mix well. Cook it on a medium heat for 5 minutes and serve with garlic or hot sauce.
